In the latest “Marvel-is-basically-a-bunch-of-sexist-dickbags news, Marvel has introduced a new New Avengers team, which they call “the most powerful and brilliant team in the Marvel Universe.” The team is composed of The Black Panther, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Bolt, Mister Fantastic, Namor the Sub-Mariner and The Beast.

If you notice anything missing from that list, you’re not alone: there are exactly no female members on Marvel’s “most powerful and brilliant team.” Nor are there any queer or trans people, as per usual. There is person of color, at least. But it’s nice to know that Marvel apparently doesn’t think that any of its female or queer characters are worthy of being on their coolest new team. Or, you know. The opposite of nice.
